The players warm up at Total Judo competition

More than 200 people attended the Spring 2014 Total Judo competition held at Yateley Manor. 80 children competed for medals across a number of different weight and age groups.

Held to a tight timetable, Total Judo coach Charlotte Farbon ensured parents and the Judoka (competitors) were able to particpate in the competition, enjoy the activities and reflect upon their own individual results and achievement throughout the day.

Total Judo judoka can compete at an event held at Bishopsgate School in Englefield Green on Sunday 17th November 2013. Organised by Core Judo for children all ages and entered by age and weight,  there will be trophies in each category for Gold, Silver and Bronze.

In additional there will awards for Top Boy, Top Girl, Throw of the Day and Spirit of Judo.

Alex Farbon British Champion 2013Total Judo coach Alex Farbon won 6 out of 6 fights to become 2013 Great Britian Judo Champion Senior Men u73Kg, on Sunday 20th January at the British Trials held st the EIS in Sheffield.

The trials sees the selection of the top 16 players in each weight group compete to secure a place in the British Squad. The Trials use the “Pools on Pools” system which whilst takes time ensures the fairest selection process, with the best players getting to the medals.

 

 

The result in the U73Kg was:-

Max: The British Trials or British Championships  – is a Closed event for GB judo players and usually only available to players to enter the tournament on an invitational basis, dependent on current rankings or standings.

The record for Total Judo coach Alex Farbon in the British Trials is:- Senior Men’s Trials 2005 – 3rd Place; 2007 – 2nd place; 2008 – 1st Place; 2009-10 - event didn’t take place; 2011 – 3rd place; 2012 – 2nd place; 2013 - 1st place.
